CONCEPT & NAME
“VIG” is short for the English slang word vigorish.
It represents the bookie’s or house’s cut on a bet.
The Vig West Loop is a 1950's themed sports parlor bringing its signature flair to the dynamic West Loop neighborhood. With a refined kitchen and classic cocktails crafted for today’s discerning drinker, our playful concept explores the idea that it’s good to be bad. Inspired by legendary movies, unforgettable sports moments, and historical tales where we can’t help but root for the villain, this theme is expressed through our architecture, design, and thoughtfully curated food and drink menus. Every element of The Vig West Loop is designed to revive the lost art of conversation. Since opening in October 2024, we’ve been serving enticing dishes and beverages in a refined sports parlor setting that’s as memorable as the stories we tell.
RESERVATIONS
The VIG Milwaukee takes reservations but leaves a majority of our tables open for walk-in business. The majority of our business, especially on weekends, is exclusively for walk-in guests and we will seat your party with the first available table. All guests must be present at the time of your reservation in order for your party to be seated.

We will have exciting events ranging from craft beer dinners to bourbon tastings as well as Chicago sports teams watch parties. The VIG has both semi-private and private dining areas that can host up to 90 seated and 120 standing.
